Casa Museo Pérez Galdós
The ideal place to discover the life and work of the famous Canarian writer.
A traditional 19th-century home

About the Casa Museo Pérez Galdós
In the heart of the Triana district in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you’ll find a literary and heritage gem: the Pérez Galdós House Museum.
This traditional 19th-century home was not only the childhood residence of the great novelist Benito Pérez Galdós, but today it invites visitors to discover his life and work from the inside, as if stepping into his very own home.
Walking through the museum is like traveling back in time: you’ll pass through Canarian-style courtyards with stone wells, period pantries, and rooms that preserve the essence of the writer, including the bedroom where he was born and his original writing desk — all while maintaining the original domestic architecture.
Since its transformation into a museum in the 1960s, it has become an essential place to truly understand Galdós and the world that shaped him. Here, you don’t just see objects — you breathe literature.
